Spring buzzing by.

I feel like I’m in a weird time warp.

My first babies are closer to three than two these days, and this new babe of mine is growing like crazy.

Not sure if it’s the fact that Marlowe might be our last baby, or time is really going that much faster, but I already feel like she’s growing so much quicker than Scout and Griffin did.  I remember feeling like they were babies foooooorever.

At any rate, here we are, surrounded by all of these big kids and I’m just trying to take it all in.

Here’s a few photos from our crazy adventurous spring!

Nine Years (!?!?!)

Today, Keith and I have been married for NINE years.

Some days, it feels like it’s been closer to 40 years, while others it seems like just yesterday, we were babies saying “I do,” in the park with our closest friends and family.

In the past nine years, we’ve traveled to 16 countries, more cities and states than I can keep track of, bought a house, two puppies, had two amazing babies, and somehow managed to continue to enjoy each others company.

He still makes me laugh more than any other human being, and I’m so very lucky to have him by my side no matter what.

Here’s to the next nine years, and all the years after that.

Just when I thought we couldn’t get any more boring….

We have big news.

Like really big news.

We’ve decided to cancel our cable.  I know, probably the biggest news you’ve excitedly read about all day/week/month/year.

Keith and I had spoken about cancelling our cable last year before I started working, mostly because it was a luxury for us and it was expensive.  Long story short, I called Verizon to cancel and as it turned out, we were stuck contractually until the end of June.

Sooooo, here we are, at the end of June, and we’re going to do it.

Now with the babies, we’re watching even less tv than we did pre-children. I kid you not, there are three shows that we watch pretty regularly (I’ll let you guess who watches which show), Teen Mom (1 & 2, as I ,ahem, the family member that watches it, doesn’t discriminate against ANY Teen Mom), Jeopardy, and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

When I first  broke the news to Scout and Griffin that they’d have to follow updates on Kail, Jenelle, Chelsea, and Leah, on the internet only, they gave me a hard time, but eventually agreed that this was best for all of us.  We have netflix and plan to get a Hulu subscription, so we’re hoping we can piecemeal the essentials.

Tomorrow is the big day, I’ll be sure to update how we’re all surviving without our daily dose of Alex Trebek.

To be continued…….

Fridays are the best days

Today was amazing for a million reasons. Here are four of them.

  1.  I didn’t start work until noon, which gave me time to take Scout and Griffin on a solo trip to Target (woohoo!), and then to meet up with a friend at our favorite local play area. image
  2. Griffin (for the first time ever, EVER) fell asleep at his high chair.  I struggled to get him out and change his diaper because I was laughing so hard. image image
  3. Scout had lunch that consisted of Doritos (blue, obviously) and strawberries, showing that she truly is my daughter and she clearly understands the struggle of dieting.
  4. Oh, it’s Friday.  Which means tomorrow is Saturday and we have ZERO plans for the weekend, which makes it the best weekend ever.  Beer will be drank, we’ll make a trip to the beach, and life is so amazingly relaxing, if only for two days.  I love summer so very much.
