a weekly portrait of my children, every week, in 2017.

week forty // scout: sings all day long, loves running from the chickens in the backyard, and is a bit of a hoarder.

week forty // griffin: has started saying that there are certain things that only boys can do (working to change that), loves anything with buttons, and can break pretty much anything you give him.

week forty // marlowe: is exactly six months today, is over mashed food, and laughs at scout and griffin like it’s her job.

Weekly Portrait of My Children 39/52

a weekly portrait of my children, every week, in 2017.

week thirty-nine // scout:  hates wearing clothes, loves hearing stories about how her and griffin arrived at the hospital, and has started defending her brother to other kids.

week thirty-nine // griffin: can turn pretty much any object into a stick or weapon, is super helpful cleaning up, and still has a sweet lithp.

week thirty-nine // marlowe: is SIX months old, will only fall asleep while having at least one hand on me (i’m not doing too much to fight this), and is eating everything we eat.

week thirty-eight // scout: likes to come up with ridiculous nicknames for herself and then introduce herself by said nickname to strangers, has started with a laundry list of reasons why she cant go to bed every night, and still loves seeing photos of herself as a baby.

week thirty-eight // griffin: is a technology pro, loves learning new things, and gets stuck in his blankets and falls out of his bed almost every single night.

week thirty-eight // marlowe: smiles all day long, only wants to nurse if she can look around the entire room while doing so, and is a master at pulling hair and pinching.

Weekly Portrait of My Children 37/52

week thirty-seven // scout: has finally started wearing shorts instead of dresses (just in time for the end of summer), claims she’s going to stay home with me forever (woohoo!), and is sweet as pie.

week thirty-seven // griffin: loves making Marlowe laugh, can devour an entire pb&j sandwich quickly, and has started sleeping in his big bed at night 🙂

week thirty-seven // marlowe: is going through a crazy growth spurt, can sit up (without help for three-ish minutes), and has the most delicious thighs ever.
