Weekly Portrait of My Children 9/52

a weekly portrait of my children, every week, in 2017.

week nine// scout: regularly sings rockabye baby to every stuffed animal we own, is freakishly articulate, and still enjoys her alone time throughout the day.

week nine // griffin: somehow manages to make one syllable words go on for several seconds, loves letting the dogs in and out of the house, and has started recognizing letters (G is for Big Doo!).

36 weeks (round two)

How far along: 36 weeks

Total weight gain: 20 lbs.  I actually lost a pound this week, but easily made up for it by eating two (maybe three) donuts for lunch immediately following my weigh in.

Maternity clothes: yes.

Stretch marks: no.

Sleep: getting rough.  averaging 4-5 hours nightly.

Best moment of this week: took the kids to the zoo and ikea.  we were all happy campers 🙂

Miss anything: breathing.  sleeping.  you know.

Movement: someone has their feet perfectly lodged in my ribs, and reminds me regularly.

Food cravings: cadbury creme eggs.

Anything making you queasy or sick: poor bruiser’s stinky face.

Have you started to show yet: i hear the snickers as i walk by people.  mmm, snickers.

Labor signs: had my first actual conctration (ever) one morning this week.  that was interesting.

Belly button in or out: out

Wedding rings on or off: on

Happy or moody most of the time: happy.

Looking forward to: packing my hospital bag, finally.  or not.  i think i’ll save it for when the contractions actually start.

Weekly Portrait of My Children 8/52

a weekly portrait of my children, every week, in 2017.

week eight // scout: tries to wrestle Griffin any chance she gets, loves to “play bite,” and talks more than anyone I’ve ever met.

week eight // griffin: has become very independent lately and insists on doing everything “mythelf!”, loves a good “hog and keeees,” and refuses to eat dinner without being completely distracted.

Weekly Portrait of My Children 7/52

a weekly portrait of my children, every week, in 2017.

week seven // scout: sings all day long (and knows every single nursery rhyme ever written),  loves the phrase “best friends,” and can throw a dirty look like no one’s business.

week seven // griffin: is unbelievably destructive, loves wearing socks, and has really started appreciating Stella and Bruiser (“I pettin’ dem.”).
